Benecko

The well known recreation resort is situated at the west side of peak Žalý. The Benecko village is situated in western Giant Mountain.Traditional cottages are still in the village. Jindrova skala – the tourist view point is situated by the village.
Two thirds of the village is situated in the third zone of Giant Mountain national park. It makes Benecko very useful place for hiking on the edges of Giant Mountain. Visitors can admire beautiful views to the countryside or wander through the whole village. They can also visit the nearest town Jilemnice or Vrchlabí.
Village became to be the centre of the winter sports – ski resort Benecko. Benecko offers great conditions for ski country cross skiing, race ski country cross skiing.
